Vanessa hails from Berklee, has toured the world singing and playing music, and is currently on tour to promote the release of her debut album entitled heart soul & saxophone.  On her debut album, Vanessa demonstrates her skills as a master musician and songwriter, blending her blues background with elements of funk, rock, and soul and revealing her musical prowess as she effortlessly transitions from songs full of fiery, powerful vocals and gritty saxophone solos to soul-stirring ballads packed with raw emotion.  Rounding out her band are stand-out Berklee musicians: Eric Finland (keys), Jordan Rose (drums), Justin Schornstein (bass), and Noe Socha (guitar and harmonica).

Award winning pianist, composer, and practicing physician, Elliot Steger will be joined by a talented group of Jazz artists. Mark Poniatowski, on acoustic bass, is on the faculty at the Berklee College of Music and has performed with Sid Caesar, Rita Moreno, Bob Newhart and live on WGBH. Jon Hazilla, on drums, is a recipient of a National Endowment of the Arts Award and on faculty at the Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory. Christine “Tina” Horn, on congas, plays djembe and percussion with Kellianna. Dr. Steger has been the featured artist on radio station WICN’s Jazz New England Program and has released 5 CD’s of original compositions since 1998 http://cdbaby.com/elliotsteger5.

The Klezwoods is an amalgam of strings, horns and percussion that melds the spirit of traditional klezmer and Balkan music with modern grooves, improvisation and original repertoire. Every player comes from a different background, which creates the band’s unique sound and style. They originally got their start some years back when local Cambridge, MA haunt, Atwoods Tavern, wanted music for a “Klezmer Christmas” event. Since that fateful day, The Klezwoods have played the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Helsinki Klezmer Festival in Finland, and recurrent festivals and concerts tours all over the world!
